Manchester City travel to Newcastle to play their Premier League game in hand today.
If you will be betting on this game (at least you want to, that’s why you’re reading this), you should consider the following tips before making any move to add this game to your betslip.
Manchester City is currently third on the EPL table and they’re up against a Newcastle side that’s 19th on the table. The most obvious thing that comes to mind for anybody is a Manchester City “straight win.”
Why not? Man. City have only lost once in their last 5 games. They are firing on all fronts. They’re trying to keep a distance between them and Arsenal, currently 4th on the table. They have a fit enough team that seem to be scoring goals for fun. De Bruyne is back and is assisting all the goals they have failed to score for a while.
My Prediction: A straight win for Man. City is non-negotiable (of course football is still funny and anything can happen). They have been scoring goals effortlessly. And it is goals that win games. Aguero is dangerous again. They have kept it tight at the back too! They have only conceded 3 goals in their last 5 games. Add to that the fact that they’re trying to avoid playing the UEFA Champions League Qualifiers, and you can understand why they’ll win.
Other Predictions: Although Newcastle is at the bottom of the table, they’ve learnt how to score goals in their games. In their last 5 games at home, they have scored 8 times and conceded 5 times. Doing the maths, there’s the possibility that they score a goal against the Citizens. But it is highly unlikely that they win the game, all things being equal.
With the above stats, the following outcomes are likely:
– Man. City to win. If in doubt, you can pick Man. City to win or draw.
– Man. City to score first goal.
– Over 1.5 goals.
– Both Teams to Score NO. X
– Over 0.5 goals in second half. X
– Man. City to win either half. X
– Aguero to score anytime.
